Hand-cut explained
People often ask: what’s so hand-cut about your hand-cut pies?
Luckily, I’m getting on a bit so I don’t have the urge to stare them down into an apologetic cringe.
So let’s be clear: the hand-cuttedness of Jake’s hand-cut pork pies refers to the cutting by hand of the free-range pork that goes into the pie.
Not the cutting of the pie itself, which would be a silly thing to do if you’re trying to sell a whole, undivided pie.
But if you really want hand-cut to refer to the cutting of the pie, then you’re free to do so. And I state right now that Jake’s will develop a hand-cutting template to help you cut the pie by hand.
That way, perfectly hand-cut pies will be a matter of course, and bring joy and happiness to everyone who experiences them.
